what’s coming this christmas!

Finally I’m showing you all a few things that I have been creating for my Christmas range!! My sister and I have collaborated on a range of cards and tags, which we have produced in 5 different colour combinations. Today you’re getting a peek of the magenta and green theme (something different for Christmas!).

I have stocked up on lovely blank notebooks, to be covered in your own combination of washi-tape. And don’t you just love the wooden memo-clips!!

Also - everything you will need to wrap your Christmas gifts - in coordinating colours!! (Tissue paper, twine, washi tape, ric-rag, little pegs, cards and tags!!)

All will be revealed at The Constantia Gift Fair from 7-11 November, and then again at the Durbanville Gift Fair from 29 November to 2 December!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

some diy inspiration via the pretty blog

Hello friends – it’s me, the “somewhat better, still coughing” gal!!  Thanks for all your kind notes and words of encouragement. (there I was , the only one in the family not to fall to this dreaded lurgy, very proud of my “amazing” immune system………..ha!!)

Moving on!! A while ago I was very happy to meet Dorine from sugarpenguin, also here in Stellenbosch. She was sourcing bakers twine and washi tape for a wedding shoot, and we got totally engrossed in all the lovely colours and combinations. I still can’t wait to see the final results. Anyway – she posted a little DIY last week on The Pretty Blog (a must to see beautiful weddings!!!), making notebooks and using the twine to embellish. It is such a great idea I had to share it with all of you, so that you can share in the creativity!! Have fun!!

Thanks Dorine for sharing this with us!!!

a spring gift from me to you – gift-tags to download!

Hello everyone!! Welcome to a new week, and for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere – SPRING!! A time for fresh new beginnings and sunshine!! And of course all my favourite flowers.

I’ve been meaning to give you all a little gift for a while now, and decided that this was the opportune time! So – a free download for you all to make your own set of happy, floral gift-tags! My sister Caroline and I have been working on a new range of stationery, and a calendar for the New Year, and these tags are inspired by the creations that we are currently working on. Once you’ve downloaded the pdf, print it on an A4 card – choose a nice thick textured card to make it extra nice. Then simply cut out the tags, punch a little hole and attach some matching Twine or ribbon. Voila!! Download the pdf here or click on this first image (this will take you to an Acrobat page – you don’t have to be a member or sign-in – just click download and save to print!!).

all images: my own

Have fun, and Happy Spring to you all!!

New Washi Tape Stock

Hello friends- its Friday!!!!!!

As promised – I have replenished my Washi Tape stock, and have come up with some new combinations…….. Sometimes the way the tape looks on the roll is rather decieving (due to its transparent nature), so this time I have shown you what it looks like stuck on a tag too (hopefully that will make it easier for you to choose…?)

I have also put together 2 kits for making your own washi tape gift tags! Each kit contains 6 blank tags and 6x1m lengths of Bakers-Twine (which I will customise to match whichever Washi Tape bundle you choose). You can choose between a kit of 6 assorted shaped tags, or 6 luggage tags. Now you can get creative too!!!

To see prices and ordering codes please click here.

Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend!!
